Well, we started our three-lesson study on Worship, and I can say that it was a great time of discussion and Bible study.

The message, entitled “The Right Response,” helped us learn that worship is the right response that results from our encountering God.

We looked at the following Scripture passages:

• Psalms 8:1-5
• Psalms 63:1-5
• Psalms 33:1-5
• Colossians 3:15-17

We were challenged to begin to be aware of where and how they are encountering God, and to be intentional about responding in worship once we encounter Him.

Next Steps . . .

During the next week as you have time to talk with your child, consider asking the following questions:

• Where do you usually “encounter” God? Where are you most aware of His presence, or experience evidence of Him? (Be prepared to share your own experiences here.  I talked about my #ResetButton being the beach...)
• Why is it sometimes challenging to “see” God? What gets in our way?
• You talked this week about worship being your response to God. What does that practically look like in your world? How can you worship God as you go about your day-to-day life?
• What are some ways we as a family can worship God together?
