Sovereign Grace Ministries Panel Reports
The following email was sent to the all the members of Metro Life Church yesterday.
Dear Friends,
As we met as pastors today we began by thanking God for his many mercies being shown to us here at Metro. Personally, this has been one very encouraging month. It is wonderful to be in the midst of a people full of faith in the good purposes of God at work in our midst. May His mercies to you specifically be a great comfort and encouragement today!
The purpose of this email is to inform you that on Tuesday morning, January 24th, the panel reports were given to the pastors of Sovereign Grace Churches. The reports will be published in their entirety on the SGM web page today, and once posted there, we will also provide a link from our web page. You may recall that these panels came together to assess the charges by Brent Detwiler against CJ Mahaney. We hope you will take the opportunity to read the reports and the conclusions, and then take time to pray. As we pray, lets ask God to give us hearts of love, discernment and faith for our future as a family of churches. These are reasoned reports that focus on the charges that were brought against CJ. By way of reminder, another report by Ambassadors of Reconciliation will follow sometime in mid-March. That document's purpose is to provide an evaluation of SGM as a whole.
