Mission

What is Metro Life Church about? Simply stated we desire to build a community of Gospel-centered people committed to loving God, growing together, and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What do we mean by this?

  • Loving God – God showed His love for us by giving His Son.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ changes our hearts, enabling us to love God, worship Him, and be transformed by His Word.  We grow in our love for God through the Holy Spirit’s work within us.

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” – 1 John 3:1a

  • Growing Together – God has designed us to grow in relationship.  The Gospel calls us to be devoted to one another in love.  We actively participate in each other’s lives by meeting together, serving one another, and exercising our spiritual gifts.

“…from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” –Ephesians 4:16

  • Proclaiming Christ – God builds His church through the declaration of His Word.  The Gospel commissions us to bring hope to a lost world.  We share Christ through Spirit-filled demonstration and proclamation.

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures…” - 1 Corinthians 15:3
