Thrive
"Thus says the LORD: 'Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit'" (Jeremiah 17:5-8).
Thrive is our community of young adults, single and married, who exist to help every member move towards maturity in Christ. We want to be like the plant Jeremiah speaks of here, trusting God and flourishing as a result. Thrive is aimed at laying a foundation for spiritual maturity. People in this generation, single or married, have so much in common when it comes to maturing in the faith and growing in godliness. While 18-30 years of age is the primary age range, it is not exclusively. Singles and couples outside this age range will certainly benefit from being involved with Thrive, and will be a blessing to others.
Thrive Together is our monthly corporate meeting and it provides a time for teaching, worship and fellowship. It typically takes place on the fourth Saturday of each month at 7:00pm in the chapel. Currently we are providing childcare on an as-needed basis. If you would be interested in coming to the Thrive Together meeting and would like care for your children, please contact us.
