Music and Worship: Sunday, May 21st, 2017

Good Afternoon!

Happen to miss this past Sunday's service or just want to listen back? Here is a recap of the songs we sang, along with some of the scriptures that inform them!

We hope you are encouraged and refreshed by the truths that you hear and read below.

The Lion and the Lamb

"For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?" (Isaiah 14:27)

"So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth..." (Philippians 2:10)

thewaythetruththelifeOne True God

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

"For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5)

Heal Our Land

"For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him." (Psalm 62:5)

"...with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.” (Ephesians 4:2-8)

Before the Throne of God Above

"Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me." (Isaiah 49:16)

"But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:21-26)

"For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." (Colossians 3:3)

"Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrew 7:25)
