Today I shared about an audio message that we want to encourage each and every person to listen to. It is entitled, "The Church and Membership" and it was given at the recent NEXT conference by a pastor named Jared Mellingner. In this message, Jared lays out six blessings from Scripture that God has deisgned for membership to a local church. Our desire is that each and every person would live in the good of these blessings personally and encourage others to pursue them as well. What we don't want is a group of people who are members in name only missing out on these blessings but rather that each part of our local Body would work properly so that we can grow and be built up in love (Ephesians 4:16).

We encourage each of you to listen to the message and then come ready to your first home group in August ready to discuss it. May God use this in our lives and in the lives of those who may be considering membership with us as well.
