This week we wrapped up our Element’s study on God’s Word. This final sermon was entitled “The Word And Us.” Its purpose was to help our students would understand that as Christ-followers, God’s Word must be at the center of our lives. We were challenged to discover (or re-discover) a joy for encountering God in His Word.  

We looked at the following Scripture passages:

• John 1:1-2, and 14
• Matthew 7:24-27
• James 1:22-25
• Psalm 119:11, 14, 97, 105

Please take a few minutes this week to read these passages that helped us learn more about God’s Word.

As you’re going about life over the course of the next few days, ask these questions to your teenager:

• Do you think you’re in a good place when it comes to your time reading God’s Word? 
• What can I do to help you in this area? 
• Would you be open to both of us committing to reading a specific book or devotional plan together? That way we could make sure we were both on track. (If you aimed to do this let your teenager have a role in choosing the plan or the book.)
