This week we continued our study on God’s Word. This message was entitled “The Word In The World,” and its purpose was to help our students see that Jesus’ person, ministry, and teachings represent the fullness of God’s word to us. We tried to help them see how they are to be communicating God’s Word in their day-to-day lives.

We looked at the following Scripture passages:
John 1:1-2, and 14
Revelation 19:11-13
Acts 6:1-7, 8:4, and 12:24
2 Corinthians 4:1-2

Please take a few minutes this week to read these passages that helped us learn more about God’s Word.

Next Steps . . .

As you’re going about life over the course of the next few days, ask these questions to your teenager:
What did you learn about God’s Word this week that stood out to you?
What do you remember talking about that was interesting?

You were challenged to be really intentional about how you communicate the Gospel and talk about the Bible in general. Can you think of a time when anyone was ever sneaky or disrespectful or manipulative with God’s Word? (If you have any thoughts, you could share them here as well.) What effect did that have on you? Did it make you want to follow God’s Word more or less?

What can we do as a family to be more open and authentic about how we express our faith in our community?

I also wanted to let you know of a new song that John McCall and the band led us in last night - it is from Hillsong Music titled: Anchor.  I hope it encourages you today!

If you have any questions about anything, please don’t hesitate to call me. Have a great week!
