Enjoying God In The Wilderness!

Here it is, Monday morning, and I am finding Psalm 63 ministering to my soul. As I was praying this morning about the present (including our hopes of having settlement on our home in Casselberry this week!) details of my family's life, I was taken back into the past and to God's faithfulness to us. As you begin your week with all that is before you, may your personal story of God's faithfulness to you encourage your soul with any present uncertainties. His steadfast love is better than life, friends! Perhaps Mr. Spurgeon's reflection below will spur you on in meditating on the faithfulness of God to you.

“The surest way, and the nearest way, to lay hold upon God is the consideration of that which he hath done already, which was David’s way here; because, says he, this was God’s way before, therefore will I look for God in this way still…I cannot have better security for present nor future than God’s former mercies exhibited to me.” - Charles Spurgeon

As you look over your calendar consider practical ways to reach out to a friend who may be in a wilderness of some kind to ensure they feel our love, support, and care. Invite them over for a meal, out for a cup of coffee, or some expression of hospitality to tangibly demonstrate that when one part of our body hurts, we all hurt. God bless your week!
