Good Morning, Metro? How was your Monday? Did you feel like, “Monday you can fall apart, Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart…” Ok, you might need to be a child of the 80’s to appreciate those words but it isn’t the words of a song that are to shape our perspective on work or treasuring the weekend above weekdays. God’s Word is our guide! I hope you found Colossians 3:22-4:1 encouraging and a Gospel informed perspective on how to work. Work sincerely and heartily this week, friends. If you have responsibility over others, show them fairness and recognize your employee’s efforts. All of this can serve to be a demonstration of our new nature in Christ. Remember the words of R. Kent Hughes, “Christians ought to be the best in attitude, the best in dependability, and the best in integrity.” God bless your workweek, and let’s continue to pray for those still seeking work. May this be the week they hear, “You’re hired!”
