Walk for Life with Metro Life

Walk for Life on May 6, registration is 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with the walk being from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Blue Jacket Park, Orlando. We will be representing Metro Life Church as a whole but having a fun church competition to see which volunteer group, leadership group, or community group is most represented and raises the most donations! Lunch & Learn

Join us in Classroom 101 for a lunch & learn. In the beginning lessons of HIS Sermon on the Mount, JESUS clearly tells us to process and deal with our anger toward other people lest we be liable to judgment. It is natural for humans to wrestle with GOD and other humans, and I think HE gave us these instructions in HIS Sermon on the Mount as a practical way to guard against engaging in chronic wrestling matches with each other.
As we share a meal together, Thomas Henderson will be offering five clinically-supported tools that can be useful in managing and resolving the conflicts people face in their relationships. These tools will be presented in the context of marriage and family life but are also applicable in other relationships like the workplace or with friends.

Join us for this year VBS themed Twists and Turns. It's sure to be a week of amazing encounters with Jesus for the ENTIRE family. Each evening will include dinner, a worship rally, a bible lesson, a craft station, and games for the campers! Registration is for students entering pre-K through entering 7th grade. Childcare is available for younger siblings and there is an exciting new PARENT portion each night as well (including dinner!). You don't want to miss this, it's going to be a week to remember. Space is limited, don't delay registration is open until we hit capacity or April 30, whichever occurs first.

Whisper Mountain: Alive Summer Camp 2023

Category: AliveWith so many voices crying out for your son or daughter’s attention every day, we wanted to provide a safe place for them to escape and encounter the Lord. We chose Whisper Mountain Camp up in Robbinsville, NC as our summer camp for 2023 for that exact reason.
The Alive youth group will spend 5-days and 4-nights up in North Carolina enjoying the beautiful campus, swimming and rock jumping in Lake Santeetlah, the woodland paintball course, both low rope and high rope team building activities, archery, Bazooka ball, and tons of other games! And not only will camp be full of excitement, but also full of intentional times seeking the Lord through practiced quiet times with their bibles, times of worship, biblical teaching, times of encouragement and prayer, and group discussions to help unpack the teaching and wrestle with questions in a safe environment.
We are praying for, and believe, that the Lord will meet us again at camp this year as He has in years prior. I hate this cliché phrase, but we believe this truly will be a memory that teens look back on for years to come. So parents, please consider praying about this years camp and envisioning your teens for what might await them.
