The Glory To Come: The New Heavens and the New Earth

In my Father's houseGood Morning, Metro Life Church!

I don't know all that the day ahead holds for you and me, but I do know this; since we were together Sunday morning we are two days closer to the return of Jesus Christ! I do know that right now Jesus is preparing a place for us, and in His Father's house are many rooms. If it wasn’t so he wouldn’t have told us so! How can we get so full of desire for our future in Heaven with Jesus that we become more and more "earthly" good today? Take a few moments this week and read Revelation 21 and 22 slowly. It's our sure and certain future, church! It compels our living today! As we eagerly await His sure return may these passages from Sunday encourage your soul.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” – John 14:1-2

“I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.” – Psalm 16:8-9

“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.” – Psalm 62:5-8

“When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” – Colossians 3:4

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." - Romans 15:13
