Often during the week, I'll find myself sitting in Chris' office for longer than I intended to. What was supposed to be a quick chat about how a new season of a children's show introduced the concept of same-sex couples to my 6 and 2-year-old instead led into an hour-long conversation about parenting in our culture.

Or there was that time when I was late to a meeting because Chris and I got lost in a conversation about how women have been hindered in church culture, how it harms the entire church, and how we can empower women moving forward.

Your takeaway from all of this might be that I need to spend less time in Chris' office. Stop talking, close his office door, and get back to work.

Instead, I want to invite you in.

Controversial Conversations

We realize that there are a lot of conversations happening today. And this is especially true for young adults and young parents. In fact, it can be overwhelming trying to keep up with them all and sorting out what you think.

And we lament that many don't feel comfortable having controversial conversations with their pastors. Chris and I (Shane) know we don't have special insight in of ourselves. But we want to wrestle through hard things with you. And we want to bring it all back to what God's word has to say.

So please consider joining us for one of our upcoming controversial conversations. Chris and I will discuss a topic together, looking at what scripture has to say about it, and then open the discussion up to questions. We also hope to continue the conversation afterward and will provide you with a list of bible passages, resources, and books to help you consider more moving forward.

The nights will start at 6 pm over pizza, and then we will jump in. Childcare will be provided for infants through 6th grade.
