Over the past several years, Neighbor to Neighbor has become a rallying event where believers from all over Seminole County gather together to serve one community. We have had volunteers from over 10 local churches. We have also had volunteers and partnership from the Casselberry Police Department, City Code Department, Public Works, and several local businesses.

What is Neighbor to Neighbor? It's a one morning event where we gather as one church and serve 10-20 families through yard work. One group of volunteers at one house can accomplish incredible amounts of work in only 3-4 hours. This leaves the outsides of these homes looking completely transformed.

Why do we do this? Because we know that the outside of the home is just a snap shot of the difficulties these families are facing. We are not only doing physical work but we are building a bridge between these families and the church. After the event we follow up with every family served and we invite them into community.

This upcoming event will be a week before Easter. We will invite every family we serve to join us at one of our churches upcoming Easter services. How wonderful would it be if these families hear a message preached on the resurrected savior just a week after the church served them in such a practical way.

I'm praying that we will serve some families that will become pillars in our church in the years to come.
