Today Shirley invites us to draw closer to God. We encourage you to settle in with a warm cup of tea as you honestly answer these questions...
What
would
happen,
if you regularly, went into a private room, closed (or locked) the door and got on the floor before the Lord?
What would happen if you then repented of any sin in your life and received God's forgiveness?
What would happen if you then began to worship the Lord in your native language (English) and in the language of the Holy Spirit?
What would happen if you prayed Romans 6:13..."offer and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to (perpetual) life, and your bodily members (and faculties) to God, presenting them as implements of righteousness."(Amplified Bible)?
What would happen if you then began to recall experiences with the Lord (healings, miracles, provision) where He has manifested Himself in wonderful ways? What would happen if you expressed your sincere thankfulness for all He is and all He has done for you personally?
What would happen if you told Him,"God, I want more of You, more of Your Presence, more of Your fullness in my life. Fill me with more of You."
What would happen if you waited on the Lord and refused to come out of that room until you experienced His Presence? For some this would be to experience heat, electricity, or shaking. To others, it is lightness, peace, or weeping. It is always personal...
We are instructed in Psalm 46:10 to "Be still, and know that I am God." In James 4:8 we are promised,"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
You will never know what would happen until like David, you cry out,"When You said, "Seek My face", my heart said to You, "Your face, O Lord, I will seek.". Psalm 27:8.
He is waiting......
