2 Timothy 4:9-22 - Our Faithful God - Al Pino

As Metro Life Church celebrates 40 years of God’s grace, we welcome Pastor Al Pino—founding pastor of Palm Vista Community Church in Miami, a church planted by Metro Life in 1997. Pastor Al opens 2 Timothy 4:9–22 to remind us that through every storm, season, and sending, our God remains faithful.

In this deeply personal and encouraging message, Pastor Al reflects on gospel perseverance, ministry partnership, and God’s unwavering presence in times of hardship. For those new to faith, building community, or long invested in this mission, the reminder is timely: God stands with us and strengthens us to proclaim His Word—together.

Key Takeaways

• God never leaves us, even when others do. Like Paul, we can be confident that Christ stands by us through the power of His Spirit.
• Faithfulness is possible because God strengthens us. Paul's relationships, like those with Timothy and Luke, illustrate how the gospel unites us in purpose.
• We are part of a greater story—one where disciples are sent, churches are planted, and God's Word continues to go forth from generation to generation.

Can I still trust God when I feel abandoned or overwhelmed?
Yes. From Paul’s prison cell to our own struggles, God’s Word shows us that He is present, faithful, and powerful to carry us in every season.
