Dear Metro,

Thank you to all of you who were able to join us at the Family Meeting on Wednesday, September 5th. It was a wonderful meeting filled with many expressions of God's grace at work in so many people's lives. I hope you were encouraged. For those who were unable to join us last night I have attached the Vision and Mission Statement we handed out. If you have an opportunity to listen to the Family Meeting online it will help set the context of the statement. Simply put, we want to refresh ourselves on why we do what we do as a local church. The statement doesn’t capture everything, nor can it. But it hopefully serves to capture the big picture.

During the meeting we asked for your feedback on the Vision and Mission Statement, as well as one more round of invitation for you to make suggestions on deacons/deaconesses. We provided some additional sheets in the lobby for that purpose.

I am excited for the remainder of this year and 2013, friends. Thank you for all you are doing to make the light of the Gospel shine a little brighter through Metro Life Church.
