GROW: Story of Redemption

Sundays May 2, 2021 until June 6, 2021

8:30am – 9:30am

In his mercy, God has revealed himself to his children through the written Word. Because of its size and diversity in genres, however, many of us find the Bible to be a very intimidating book. As a result, we may approach it as we would approach a collection of individual stories and try to draw conclusions from them. The Bible, however, is the unfolding of one cohesive story, and unless we understand it as such, we will struggle to draw theological conclusions applicable to our daily lives. During this class, we will look at  God’s covenants with his people as the backbone of the story of Redemption and understand how God’s grace unfolds throughout the Old Testament and New Testament. Please sign-up.

National Day of Prayer

May 6, 2021

7:00pm – 8:00pm

Join us for a night of prayer as we gather with brothers and sisters from other local churches. We will lift up our nation and cry out for God to glorify himself.

We would love for you to join us in person at Community United Methodist. The event begins at 7 and should go for about an hour. Pastors, local leaders, and others will lead us in prayer.

You can also participate online by watching the live stream. You will find that link on Community United Methodist's webpage during the night of the event.

Men's Breakfast - Till He Was Strong

May 8, 2021

8:00am – 10:00am

Metro Guys, we invite you to attend our monthly breakfast in the Chapel // The well-known chapter 6 in Isaiah describes Isaiah's experience of seeing the Lord, whose train filled the temple. That chapter starts off with a timeline marker not connected to this experience, one that reads, "In the year that King Uzziah died..."  Many have read this phrase time and time again without knowing much about this seldom talked-about but very important king of Israel. Who was he? Did he lead Israel faithfully? Why was his death mentioned in this chapter?

Mike Gilland will share a message entitled "Till He Was Strong" to the men of Metro Life Church.  Bring a friend, and let's learn together how we can run our race for Jesus, and "finish strong."
