21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

In addition to regular times of prayer throughout the year, we've set aside 21 days in January (8th - 29th) to dedicate to prayer. One week we'll also join together in a corporate fast (January 15th - 21st). For information and resources, please go to MetroLife.org/pray

At Metro Life Church we are a church OF Community Groups, not just a church with Community Groups. We consider Community Groups an essential part of church life. We desire that every member of Metro Life Church know the great benefit there is to living life in Community. Our Community Groups will be starting again in January, please go to metrolife.org/community to sign up for a Community Group this Spring Term!”

Men's Breakfast - New Beginnings

Metro Men, join our monthly men's breakfast in the chapel. Eddie Needham will be sharing on "new beginnings." Jesus says, "Behold, I make all things new." That is a proclamation for the new heavens and new earth, but is also an invitation for us to put new wine into new wineskins here and now, and not keep patching up the old. We'll discuss opportunities for strategic growth in our lives, personally and corporately. Come and be refreshed as "iron sharpens iron" with Holy Spirit-led sparks catching flame in our midst. Children's Ministry Informational Meeting 2023

Sunday, January 22, 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. // Join us immediately after the service for a short informational meeting for anyone interested in serving our children and families during the 2023 year! We will go over the basic requirements and logistics to serve and the different opportunities planned for the year.
Lunch At The Park
Every fourth Sunday of the month starting January 22, 2023 until October 22, 2023

Young Adults and Young Families join us every 4th Sunday for lunch in the park. All you need to do is pack a lunch and bring yourself! We will leave following the Sunday services and head to Secret Lake Park or Red Bug Park depending on the month. If you like, bring a game or activity to play with others.Kids are welcome to come and there are playgrounds at both parks. We will alternate locations each month.

An Evening Together: An Imperfect Family

Parenting needs training, equipping, and all kinds of other truths to be effective. But parenting needs encouragement to be sustained. Join us Friday, February 3rd, at 7PM, for An Evening Together: Our Imperfect Family as we seek to encourage one another in our parenting in any season of life. $25 per family, Childcare will be provided, and registration is required.

Controversial Conversations

Often during the week, I'll find myself sitting in Chris' office for longer than I intended to. What was supposed to be a quick chat about how a new season of a children's show introduced the concept of same-sex couples to my 6 and 2-year-old instead led into an hour-long conversation about parenting in our culture.
Or there was that time when I was late to a meeting because Chris and I got lost in a conversation about how women have been hindered in church culture, how it harms the entire church, and how we can empower women moving forward.
Your takeaway from all of this might be that I need to spend less time in Chris' office. Stop talking, close his office door, and get back to work.
Instead, I want to invite you in.

Initial VBS Team Planning and Information Meeting
February 19, 2023
12:00pm – 1:00pm
Come join us as we reveal the theme for our 2023 VBS! We will need volunteers to help before the event, behind the scenes and directly with the children the week of VBS. This meeting will be about forming teams for the different areas. All gifts and talents are welcome as we serve and love this next generation with the truth of Jesus through a fun hands on environment.
Youth Soccer
Every Saturday starting February 11, 2023 until April 1, 2023

Youth Soccer is just around the corner. Registration will be open from January 1-15. Spring season dates are 8 consecutive Saturday mornings February 11-April 1. Ages are 3yrs thru High School, cost is $30 per player and includes shirt and end of season award. GP Conference - The Church

We are excited to announce our annual Grace Partnership Conference that will be held from February 23rd to February 25th, 2023. We are grateful for what God has done in the past, but in 2023 we are expecting greater things!
We are praying for a year of fruitfulness! This year the theme is The Church: Metaphors for Fruitfulness. The Bible describes the Church in different ways for the purpose of producing fruitfulness in our churches and our lives. We are going to explore and unpack five different metaphors to deepen our love for Jesus and His Church.
We are excited about having Jeff Medders with us as he will share his heart and passion for the church. Jeff serves on staff at Risen Church in Houston, TX. He hosts The Acts 29 Podcast and has authored the books Gospel Formed and Humble Calvinism.
We will also hear from pastors in Grace Partnership as well as bring an update on all that God is doing and what he will doing in 2023 and beyond! Please save those dates and make it a priority to attend! Everyone is welcome, and please bring a friend!
