"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." (Colossians 4:2). Prayer is sweet communion with God our Father based on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Jesus has given us access to come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). And the Holy Spirit intercedes for us in our weakness with groanings to deep for words (Romans 8:26). The way to God is wide open! And yet, life is a battle. We are called to use the access we have to God to find help in times of need. It would be foolish for us to fight this battle alone when God freely avails himself. And yet that is what we do when we neglect to pray.

Last Saturday several people from Metro Life Church participated in an outreach to the homeless.

Good Morning, Metro? How was your Monday? Did you feel like, “Monday you can fall apart, Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart…”

Colossians 3:18-21 contain rapid fire commands for wives, husbands, children and fathers. But in context, these commands have everything to do with Jesus Christ being supreme over all things.

we wanted to share some of the pictures from the event with you all - our thanks to Leah VanCleve of LoveTree Photography for capturing our time together so wonderfully

Good Morning Metro, I hope your Easter weekend was a time of being built up in your most holy faith. As I shared Sunday morning, Colossians 3:5-17 isn't a standard faire Easter sermon.
