The latest on 'Life at Metro'

We love our city and we're grateful for the opportunity to make this a better place, our annual Egg Hunt is a very visible way that we're able to accomplish this together as a church. This is the location that we’ve set down roots as a church family and we want to serve our community well. More than that we have a vision for something far greater than the name of one church in the area, to that end Metro Life Church, Church Together, Willow Creek PCA, New Covenant Assembly of God & Herzing University along with several other organizations are partnering with one another for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Chris takes a moment to update us on the Casselberry Community Funtober Fest and how over the past several years we have had the opportunity to serve our community outside of the four walls of our church building or the 9 acres of our church property.

We are excited for the opportunity to host several tents at the upcoming "Halloween Spooktoberfest" with the city of Casselberry. We need your help and here's how!

Throughout our history we’ve enjoyed celebrating the Autumnal season together through events like Fall festivals, community outreaches, etc. This year was shaping up to be like so many we’ve previously enjoyed as we were planning for a Trunk-or-Treat style event. That was, until a few weeks ago when I had the opportunity to meet with the event planners for the City of Casselberry. In that meeting we were presented with the opportunity to join the efforts of a city-wide event already in the works for the exact same time frame.

This Sunday in Truth Quest, each child PreK-5th Grade will receive a baby bottle to help raise money for True Life Choice. True Life Choice is a crisis pregnancy center in Orlando where women can go who are contemplating an abortion but want help to choose life.

We’ve been studying God’s Love recently, more specifically God’s Love as a part of His Character, God’s Love in it’s greatest display through the cross and how we’re called to show or display God’s Love as those who have so generously received it. Would you consider today how you’re being called to show love to others?

This Holiday Season there are a number of ways that we are reaching out to our community to extend the love of Jesus Christ and the good news of his gospel. Therefore, there are a lot of opportunities for each one of us to be involved.

Ian Normand shared about an upcoming outreach called The Conversation, where over a period of 7-weeks, we invite folks to share a meal, hear a brief talk from the Bible and interact in a small group discussion.

Do you ever find yourself giving up on seeing somebody you love become a Christian? Two years ago, Bob’s dad moved into an assisted living facility (ALF) near us. His wife had passed away unexpectedly, leaving him alone in the house they shared for fifty years. The closest family was two hours away; and even though we hired help, his failing eyesight made it obvious that a change was needed.
